I stay on track with Turbo-Kickboxing classes at my gym. It’s SO fun, it doesn’t even feel like a workout! It’s more like dancing than real kickboxing, haha.

  2. poopiebitch says:

I stay on track with a combination of twice-weekly Zumba classes at the gym (which I LOVE!) along with weight-training, and doing the Couch to 5k program, which gets me out running around the neighborhood every other day. It’s really helpful to have a program with a goal at the end – I plan to run a 5k when I’m finished!

  3. I’ll be staying on track with loads of walking, yoga and healthy eating! I plan on enjoying the holidays to the fullest! Thanks for this giveaway Val and Sweet Riot! I will tweet about it now! :)

  4. Jocelyn says:

I stay on track by making sure I get my workouts in each day – even if it is just a 30 min walk outside! Also yoga at night helps to centre me. My family also help me stay on track…most of us watch what we eat in this house so the sweet treats are at a minimum :) But what we do have we enjoy!

  5. OMG sweetRiot is my FAVORITE!!!
I’m one of those people that won’t deprive myself of what i want… but i’ll do smaller amounts!

  6. Oooh chocolate is always the best kind of giveaway!

To keep on track during the holiday I keep on exercising like a mad woman, but not because I feel I have to, but because I love doing it so much!

As for eating, I allow myself to indulge as much as I want, knowing that the next day my body will be right back to craving green juices and salads. My tummy knows whats up!

  7. Katie says:

Love love love chocolate! On Thanksgiving and Christmas I usually get up and go for a run before the festivities start. It helps me make better food choices throughout the day….and makes me feel better when I do indulge! ;)

  8. Danielle says:

I loveee sweet riot! It’s not as hard for me to “stay on track” because I genuinly love exercise. But I also like to give myself goals for the month.

  9. Katie says:

I am having trouble, but I am trying to make time to work out, listen to my body and practice moderation.

  10. junghwa says:

    i wake up extra early~

  11. Kristin says:

I work out and try my best to eat intuitively. During the holiday season, my body still craves good, wholesome foods… as well as dessert every so often ;) .

  12. Natalie says:

Great giveaway, would love to try this!

I stay on track by scheduling workouts into my day and also by trying to fit in extra movement (walk places, park far away, etc)

  13. michelle says:

i think that for me keeping on track during the holidays is the same as every other day. as in…everyday is a mini struggle. this year i am going to only eat what i want and not what i think i should be eating. being vegan i can eat some pies and i dont even like them…but i eat it to make everybody else feel comfortable. i will not be rude but i will make myself feel good….by eaing what is good for me and ONLY what feels right. are these chocolates vegan? those tins really are cute. ttyl

  14. K says:

How exciting, those chocolates sound super intriguing!
Fortunately for me the holidays coincides with Nutcracker season so it means plenty of rehearsals and performances. But other than that, I think limiting overindulging is best – okay on Christmas day, but not every day for weeks leading up to it etc.

i’ve wanted to try the sweetriot chocolates forevah now!

during the holidays i try not to put any foods on a “do not eat” list – instead, i stick to the healthier foods on the table and have small portions of the indulgent foods that i can’t have on a normal day (like my uncle’s pumpkin cheesecake or my grandma’s hashbrowns, etc.). this way i get to have some of my favorite holiday comfort foods and don’t fill up on the same ol’ mashed potatoes or green bean casserole that seem to be around at every other family gathering :)

  16. yummy!

i plan on staying on track with small bites of everything i want and filling up on fruits/veggies the rest of the time.

  17. michelle says:

i thank you both for this opportunity. the holidays have not always been that hard for me, um..its everyday..lol but what i will do is eat what i want and not eat pie (some are vegan) just so i can feel normal and fit in. i dont even like it that much, so unless i REALLY actually want some…also i will not eat to make others feel more comfortable. again the pie thing comes in. if after eight years of being vegan my fam isnt ok with me not eating like they do…well my eating pie aint gonna fix it!

  18. Lizzy says:

This holiday i’m taking a new approach. past years i’ve deprived myself of tasty treats that i love, but this year i’m going to take small samples of things that i don’t normally eat, and leave the things that i readily prepare all the time, that way i can enjoy the things i eat maybe once or twice a year! i want to ENJOY the holidays this year, and not worry about how much or how little i’m eating!

  19. Maggie says:

I try to take 20-30 minutes each day for myself :) It’s usually walking or yoga (which I try to do anyway). Sometimes it’s a bath!

  20. Melissa says:

My gym is right in my apartment building, so I’m hoping it will be easy to stay on track this season since I won’t have to brave the elements to trek out for a workout.

  21. Jesse says:

During the holiday season I keep myself on track by going vegetarian! I really enjoy meat, but it saves me money to get my protein from beans/ nuts, etc – so I can buy more presents for people! And it helps me stay in check with calories.

Obviously, Turkey Day is a big exception!

  22. danielle says:

I make sure to keep up my daily exercise plan during the holiday season–no matter how hectic things get! I also try to limit my servings of “goodies”–and not eat out of the bag!

  23. chrissy says:

I just keep with what I’ve been doing. My secret weapon is morning workouts – I know that no matter what happens later in the day, I’ve already got some miles behind me. Makes the pie taste better too!

  24. Gena says:

I’m not entering the contest, but I think it’s an awesome one, Val! xo

  25. Lindsay says:

To keep on track I make sure to do my morning workouts and afternoon (when i can fit it in). Also just making sure to eat in moderation! Take small portions of things – making sure eyes aren’t bigger than my belly!

  26. linda says:

You’ve been blogging about these and I would love to try some too. Thanks for the giveaway!

  27. Teresa says:

I stay on track by always planning ahead (whether that’s for food or workouts) and staying flexible since plans seem to change a lot during the holidays. It’s important to not feel guilty, especially during this season.

  28. Nora says:

I try not to worry about it–stress is the one thing sure to keep me OFF track! I just do a little yoga, run a little, relax, eat what I want, when i want!

  29. Kim says:

I stay on track by keeping up my gym visits (still running 5 days/week and weight training). Also, I don’t deny myself any favorites or treats. I allow myself to have small pieces or split items with other family members. Moderation is the key.

  30. Allie B. says:

I stay on track by making sure I get in some runs a couple times a week and my twice weekly body combat classes! I also try to abide by the rule of sweets and special foods on the special occasions…The actual day! And I try not to be forced into taking home leftovers…no matter how good they may be!

I try to stay on track with some kind of physical activity every day, even if it’s just walking a few blocks or some yoga on my own. It helps me stay sane, too!
